本次地震周边20公里内的村庄有羚羊沟，100公里内无乡镇驻地分布。震中距西藏双湖县251公里，距西藏那曲市477公里，距玉树藏族自治州717公里，距西宁市1093公里，距拉萨市643公里。震中5公里范围内平均海拔约4806米。
